Time and Color:
Yellow blooms July through September.
Description:
One of our favorites. The 15 inch long, arching branches are laden with 1.5
inch long, oval green leaves, edged in white. As the season progresses, the
leaf edges turn a beautiful pink. Makes a striking addition to the well-drained,
open, lisht shade woodland garden to use with ferns. In late summer, the branches
end with bright yellow flowers. Best in borders or rock gardens. If grown in
colder climate can be an effective edger, in warmer climate can be used as informal
hedges.
Care:
Probably should be cut back in early spring.
